What Is It Made Out Of?

Minky is made exclusively from polyester, a man-made material. Despite some of the materials being named after animals, no real animals or furs are used in the production of minky, making it a popular choice among everyone seeking luxury.

Can Minky Be Washed?

Yes! Polyester can be machine-washed using cold water cycles and soft detergents. We recommend washing your blankets after use in cold water only, as heat may damage the fabric. We also recommend using gentle detergents free of harmful chemicals to assure the best washing experience. Since heat cannot be applied to minky, dry by either hanging them or using a non-heat cycle on your dryer.
